 I was saved and then felt an inner desire to go to church so I ended up at a Pentecostal church and found out very quickly that they focus on man-made rules rather than what the Bible teaches us. The Apostle Paul's admonition in Romans 12:2 encourages believers to resist the pressures of conformity to the world's standards.  We are not supposed to be of this world but we are also supposed to be able to distinguish from man-made doctrines and religious organizations as well. While these structures may provide guidance and community, the ultimate source of truth remains in the word of God. It makes no sense to me that your skirt can be past your ankles but you have a foul attitude so your "church attire" is very deceiving.
